Current pedagogical theories and applications with the use of ICTs (Compulsory for students with no pedagogical certification)

This course adopts an interdisciplinary approach to the implementation of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in education. It focuses on the integration of digital tools in teaching and learning, and the establishment of an appropriate educational framework. Students engage with both technological tools and media, as well as pedagogical theories and practices that guide the effective integration of ICTs into the educational process. The course aims to familiarize students with contemporary strategies relevant to the implementation of ICTs in educational practices, and with the research and analysis of educational interventions to determine the added value of ICTs.

Specifically, the objectives of the course are:

  1. Analyzing examples and practical applications,
  2. Encouraging students to apply principles froml earning theories and core concepts related to the pedagogical use of ICTs, while keeping up-to-date with current trends and concerns in the field of Learning Technologies, and
  3. Integrating tools, modern teaching strategies, and methods into the design, development, evaluation, implementation, and research in the field of ICTs in education and Learning Technologies.

Students' assessment is based on individual or group assignments.
